Whānau Hui

At Frasertown School, we hold whānau hui every morning and afternoon. These gatherings bring our school community together to share a karakia and sing a waiata, fostering a strong sense of unity and belonging. Every Friday, teachers also present Whakamana Awards to celebrate students who have demonstrated hard work and upheld our school values throughout the week.

Bus Transport Information

We provide a student bus service through GoBus, supporting those who live rurally or require transport to and from Wairoa. This is a pick-up and drop-off service, designed to make travel easier and safer for our students.

Our rural buses are fully funded and free for students. We currently run three rural routes:

Te Reinga

Wairoa Bus Service
For students travelling to or from Wairoa, the bus stops are:

Cost:

$50.00 per term for regular use
$25.00 for casual use
If you would like to organise transport for your child, please contact the school office.

If there are any changes to your child's bus routine during the term, it is important to call or email the office so we can ensure your child’s safety at all times.

Our school uniform is designed to be practical, comfortable, and suitable for all seasons. Uniform items can be purchased through the school office.

Note: All students are required to wear a sun hat during Terms 1 and 4.

We offer convenient, ready-made stationery packs that include all essential supplies your child will need for classroom learning.

Food at School

Morning Tea Provided

At our school, we provide students with a delicious and healthy morning tea each day, featuring seasonal fruit and vegetables. Since introducing this initiative, we've noticed a positive impact on classroom calmness, focus, and overall wellbeing. It also supports our commitment to healthy eating habits and reducing waste across the school.

At our school, students are provided with free lunches each day, thanks to catering from Rocket Lab Café. The lunch menu varies and is designed to be healthy and enjoyable for students.

Lunch is served at 12.30pm.
When the weather is sunny, students eat outside. On rainy days, lunch is eaten inside classrooms.
In addition to lunch, students are offered fruit each day as part of our healthy food initiative.
